For any of the three options consider replacing any existing tub and shower with a prefab unit that will fit nicely into any space and allow for many options. The prefab unit is easily installed and can use existing plumbing as well. Be sure to take some photos or drawings to help with any quotes or estimates.

When choosing how to upgrade your bathroom in any manner some consideration must be given as to who will actually be using it. Are there other bathtubs in the house? If yes, then decide if the second tub us needed and save some money with just a new shower. Are you planning to sell the house in the next year or so? If yes, think about upgrading for the next owner and not so much for yourself.
